Apple considers the warranty invalid. But if you should have any issues with the iPhone I would just restore the whole iPhone back to its normal settings and bring it in. But I'll be honest with you, ever since I've jailbroken my iPhone I haven't had any issues with it. I hope there are others out there who can attest to this too. But from my personal experience I haven't had any issues.

There are threads here that talk about what PITA it is to replace the hard drive in a 2010 mini. Considering it myself. I might just wait to see if apple puts a sandy bridge 4 core in the next update. The current hard drive is slow. If I do any upgrades, will put a 7200 hard drive and replace the optical with a ssd drive. I already maxed my ram to 8GB.

Ok guys we're not talking about whether the system would be 2000 bucks (which is insane), but what you think it would be...
I'm thinking somewhre between $400~550 thats the price of my system + price for rendevous support ($100, MAYBE $150...)

As for other people problems, not really. They alone time I had a problem was during the iPhone 4 launch when a bunch of people drove by and taunted everyone because they pre-ordered and got it in the mail earlier.
Oh, sorry about that ;)

OK then, a little advice.
What would be a good looking way to get an ad out to clients....
Just something quick. I don't want anything fancy or interactive, just something I can fire off in an email....
?
Ok what email client are you using? From what I read it seems that Mail.app doesn't have any options to send HTML emails. Though it is possible with that apple script posted earlier or perhaps a plugin of some sorts. (See you need to be able to change what type of email you are sending from text to html, which you can't really do in Mail.app).
You might want to try another client like Thunderbird. I read that there is an option to send email as HTML. Then all you would have to do is writeup a little html code to display your banner or whatever and then send it.
Of course the images would have to be stored on a server somewhere since sending the images as attachments won't work since most people won't bother opening the attacment.

I encourage you to search the forums. There are probably 1,000 posts on the Macbook Air's lack of a backlit keyboard.

They may not have noticed in Cupertino, but Windows DRM is locking people into Windows just as effectively as Fairplay is locking people into iPods. Apple are allowing Microsoft to get a foothold in a market that Apple should own by now.
Yeah this will leverage Zune sales too.

I can understand people's impatience with Apple for not having a complete AppleWorks replacement already, but if you look at their long term plans for iWork it makes perfect sense. If you start out with a solid foundation it is easier to make improvements so follow my thinking:
"iWork '03"
Keynote 1
iWork '05
Keynote 2 - improvements
Pages 1 - introduced and is a cross between a word processor and a page layout program. Handles the basics of both well but lacks "pro" features
iWork '06
Keynote 3 - improvements
Pages 2 - gets table cell formulas, sorting, number formatting (preparation for spreadsheet app), comments (colaboration), thumbnail view (page finding, ordering, deleting), address book support (mail merge), endnotes, automatic text correction, and general improvements to features already there.
iWork '07
Keynote 4 - improvements
Pages 3 - gets modes which separates word processing tasks/items from page layout tasks/items (reduced clutter), ability to create custom formulas.
Spreadsheet 1 - can import/read Excel data, save as/export to Excel file, basic reporting, there will be a way supply the charts in Keynote and Pages with data, plus whatever Apple adds
iWork '08
Keynote 5 - improvements
Pages 4 - word processing and page layout tasks are improved to the point where they are looking like two separate apps
Spreadsheet 2 - general improvements, reporting feature gets most improvement by being able to "drill" down through pie charts.
iWork '09
Keynote 6 - improvements
Pages 5 - improved to the point where it is only a word processor now.
Page Layout 1 - "New" app that has broken away from Pages and is now the "iApp" of DTPs. This could happen in iWork '08.
Spreadsheet 3 - Gets ODBC support
Database 1 - most likely SQLite, or equivalent, with a sweet front-end. Hopefully, it will be a true RDBMS and not something like what came with AppleWorks.
Reports 1 - (ie Crystal Reports) This is a stretch but if not a separate app then more of an "engine" that is used by the spreadsheet and database apps.
I do not use Keynote which is why I only entered "improvements" next to it.
I hope for Apple's sake it doesn't take until 2009 to get a database app. iWork '07 better be able to do everything Appleworks and MS Works can and like those application it better ship on consumer machines free of charge.

I think people are forgetting one very nice thing about res independent UI's. Sure you can scale them up for huge monitors but you can also scale them down for smaller monitors (12" PB for instance). Try it with your browser text. Scale it down all the way (Command+Shift+minus in Safari) in the browser and you can see a heck of a lot more and it still looks good. Sure you'll still be using the same pixel density but it is possible to give you more space to work with by scaling down the OS size. This is very exciting for a 12" PB user.

So is it a Mac site?
All the pics and several links are for Mac-related stuff. If you're offering services for PC's as well, or computers in general, I'd make it look more PC-friendly.

I bought the VESA adapter and an Ergotron desktop stand for my 24" iMac so I could lower it more than the stock stand would allow.

Yeah, I clearly copied the "forum post" template, but that's obviously changeable. It was just a proof of concept, but if random visitors can't write to the 'Talk' page, it's all for naught anyways.
I just thought it might be an invitation for a random net visitor to contribute. That's the main issue facing all wiki's - not enough contributors.
at present, that's by choice. we can open it up to all comers. I think that would increase contributions... but would also increase spam. I don't mind doing it, just need to be sure we have enough people around to offset the spam.

Awesome, I just switched from Sprint to T-Mobile. Granted, i had to pay $200 for the Blackberry Pearl, but mid-2007 is still quite a ways away. I guess it all depends on how cool this "iPhone" really is.

I'm on the West Coast, and at the time, worked a swing shift, so I was soundly asleep at the time. Until...
A friend (who is/was an unemployed night-owl-to-the-extreme,) called me and said simply "Turn on CNN!" Being unhappily awakened at 7:00 AM, I groggily, went "I don't have cable." and almost hung up. He then (understandably) annoyedly replied with "I don't care, turn on.. Anything. The Pentagon has been attacked." (I imagine he had just turned it on, and they were covering the Pentagon at that moment.) So I went out to the living room and quietly turned on the TV. (I had a friend fresh from college living on my couch while he searched for his own place; he also had a swing shift job.) Obviously, I was stunned. It was NBC, and they were showing the smoking ruin where the first tower was in the process of collapsing. My friend/temporary roommate was just waking up, and looked in stunned silence. (I was also too stunned to say anything.)

In line. Got here at 8:30 and was getting a ticket then they denied me. They still had about 20 tickets and about 15 people in line.
Any point standing any more in line if they can identify you?

Drop resistance is important for me. A drop will happen eventually onto a hard surface, I want to make sure it does not affect my phone at all.
It would need to be sleek though and not too thick.
How is the otterbox commuter?

I think a few other people have mentioned that too - I experience the same problem, but always on my Mini-DisplayPort monitor, not the Mini-DVI (I have the 2009 Mini).
I take it powering off/on the monitor is sufficient to bring it back to life? That typically works for me.
Duh, I've never tried that. I've always put the computer back to sleep and wake it up again, or change that monitors resolution, and change it back (if I can access that menu). I'll try to power cycle the monitor next time. Thanks!
