Actually I have 3 T-Mobile phones, each has GPS for use in E-911. Its a new federally mandated requirement.
Unless a different e911 came out I don't think that's true. All e911 required is that positioning information was available - it didn't require a specific technology. It differentiates between handset and network technologies but accepts both.
GSM networks do it by cell tower triangulation, a network technology, not GPS, a handset technology.

Connectix was pretty sweet. I guess their legacy is dead, except for those priceless Ram Double floppies I have stashed away for a different day and age.
Ah! Ram Doubler and Speed Doubler - those were great - worked too!
I remember those days.
Therewas also a piece of software to emulate a floating point processor for those machines that didn't have one.
Remember shoe-horning into my SE a video card so I could attach a 21" monitor - yay RasterOps!

Very nice!
however...
I dont think It would have iMovie, as its just not practical to make a movie on something that small..
Also The screen resolution is VERY high!
when i use a screen width of 1024 on my 17 inch then try to get the same rez on something about 4 to 5 inches! Everything would be VERY SMALL!!!!
But i think if apple could make an affordable one of these, There would be a TON of people switching over to a mac!!!!

From what you are showing, it looks like an array of either NSNumbers or NSStrings. You might try concatenating the values in the array together to form a block of data that NSImage would be able to convert.
If it is NSNumbers, you should be able to just walk a pointer through a data block for each number. If it is hex-encoded strings, you would have to use a NSScanner to convert them to numbers (-scanHexInt:).

You could install win7 on the ssd then all files on external drive. I beleive you can slim win7 down to only use about 7 gigs.

Hey guys -
I narrowed my choices down to these two. Just need a little more input to make my final decision. Thanks all.

I went to John Lewis' today to look at the Apple Cinema Displays (I've always thought I'd prefer a glossy display like my HP 22"), but I was suprised at how much more accurate the colour was on the ACD in comparison to the 24" iMac.
I couldn't tell which one had a nicer picture as they were both locked onto the Mac login screen but, after seeing them, I must admit, I like the Matte more than the glossy I think.

Just wondering, how many people are doing the SETI@Home project instead of Folding@home? Maybe it's just me, but my PC blazes through SETI work whereas it took it a solid month to get through my first (and only) bit of Folding work.
Anyway, I just broke into the first page of the MacRumors team with the average daily credit, I'm quite proud :D Just wondering if there's still people keeping up with that project in here

I just saw the update available in software update and clicked install. Pity as I wanted to see whether the app store would show it as an update. (I bought Aperture the traditional way rather than through the app store)
The app store icon showed an update was available. This is how I found out about it.

Better be cheaper
I don't ever think Apple would price their products based on the chip. They're not going to let a chip dictate how they price their powerbooks. Looking at their history, a major and radical price change would seem very unlikey. It's almost a certainty.

If I understand you correctly, you don't need a hack. Once you've highlighted the items you want to delete, hit Option-Shift-Delete. You will then get a requester which says something like, "Are you sure you want to permanently delete these items?" And away you go. :)
Hmm... that didn't work for me - when I tried to highlight a subset of files and hit Option-Shift-Delete, nothing happened (this is Panther 10.3.7 BTW). In fact I tried just about every combo of shift/ctrl/option/alt + del with no results.
But assuming I can find the right key combo to delete a subset of highlighted Trash files, I still have the problem of selecting the files based on the date I moved them to the trash, as opposed to create/modified date. I'm still converting over from the Windows world, but one nice feature of the Recycle Bin is the "Date Deleted" column. With that column, I can just open the Recycle Bin, sort by date deleted and whack what I want.
Thanks,
Sean

With such high praise of the iPhone 4's industrial design, I would be surprise if Apple decided to get rid of it for something new in just a year. It would be a waste too as it still feels fresh to a lot of people. Not to mention it will be very hard to beat (if there is a new redesign).
Even the original iPhone form factor stayed for 3 generations.

WHEN WHEN WHEN?! lol, that is the question. This device would be so cool, i'm in the market for a new cell phone and this would fit the bill very nicely...
Probably have to wait til january though. :(

Duff-Man says....have a look at Apple's Logic Express (http://www.apple.com/logicexpress/) or if you want the top-of-the-line pro software there is Logic Pro (http://www.apple.com/logic/) or Mark of the Unicorn's Digital Performer (http://www.motu.com/) ...also, don't overlook Apple's Garageband (http://www.apple.com/ilife/garageband/) that comes as part of the $49 iLife suite....oh yeah!

the click wheel would presumably be a "virtual" one that appears on the screen.
Previous patent images: http://guides.macrumors.com/Gallery_of_Gesture_User_Interface_Patent
I don't think a touch bezel would preclude the use of a touch screen also.

Oh, yes, that would of course make more sense and be rather clever.

i think what cutyoursim is doing is quite legal.
My local vodafone charges 100euros (was 200euros last year) to unlock any iphone & get it registered on apple's servers.
It is not legal if they are doing it via illegitimate access to Apple's database/servers. That would be illegal.
