LAST ONE EVER? Where did you hear that? I hope not!

Yeah so I ran TU and it was only able to save for 4.3. Can anyone think of a reason to jailbreak 3.2.2 and save those to Cydia before going up to 4.3? I'm trying to think of any possible reason why I'd want to go back to 3.2.2. At this point, it seems like everything 4.3 offers is better. And I have to believe that an untethered jb will happen eventually...

Yes, they have a booth.
No, I didn't go in - I would have yelled at some poor booth drone about the sorry state of QuickBooks for Mac for a good 45 minutes if I had.
Another company that has turned a cold shoulder towards the Mac recently who supposedly has a booth this year (though I must have not seen it in the West Hall yesterday): EMC Insignia. I need to go back to the show, track down their booth, and yell at one of their poor booth drones about the sorry state of Retrospect for Mac. :D

This has got to be a decoy patent. Because if it's not:
(1) How do you design a case to protect it while exposing the bezel 360 degrees around so you can touch it? No coverage in front? Actually, a case couldn't even have a lip to hold it on because your finger would have to get in there to press upon the bezel.
(2) How do you realistically even pick it up or move it if pushing the bezel on nearly any side activates these programmed dynamic buttons? You'd have to Lock it every time you want to touch the thing so you don't activate some function.
This would be a terrible form-does-not-follow-function idea.
Your comments don't take into account that Apple is also going to design in the ultimate intuitive interface. The device will KNOW what you mean for it to do when you touch it. It will intuit just like a thermos KNOWS whether to keep the hot things hot and the cold things cold and is ultimately simple.
;-)

I knew they would think of something better than on-screen touch controls. That just wouldn't be good for nobody. This approach seems very good. I'm sure there will be something specific that has to happen in order for the buttons to activate as not to be activating them all the time while just holding it.

Well, wouldn't describe that as being integration by any means, its more attaching one haphazardly to the other.
I'm sure that could be done much, much better.

I understand now, I going to save my money and get a Canon 24L TS, I looked at different ways of doing this, purchasing a tilt adapter, and using PC6 lens on a shift adapter, time I spent all that money, for not great results I will have pent over half of what a canon will cost.
Probably wise. I bought an old lensbaby off eBay for not much money. I've not found much use for it...

It was the perfect solution!! Thank you so much, first I connect the display, once my Apple LED Cinema becomes the main and only monitor, I open the lid of my MBP(with out clicking on Detect Display, and the MBP is "inactive") so the vents can cool down the laptop, I could play perfect for hours!
Thank you
Thank you

Better they use the same gestures etc. as Apple if they are going to push forward with multi-touch. We don't want to end up in 10 years time with a situation where every device has a different method for doing the same thing!

both working and finsifhed look crappy. I think your right with the workflow idea though, just have to try and not spend time fromatting in word also...
thanks

I'm not overly keen on DRM stopping people doing what they like with stuff they've paid for.
Ah, but being the devil's advocate - When you purchase something containing DRM you are at that moment agreeing to the terms of that DRM'd file. So when you purchase from iTunes you're saying (generalized), "yes, I agree to only use this media in this particular manner, period."

It's a US Navy Battleship of some kind, my initial thought was part of The Great White Fleet, but I'm not sure.
I think you're right - check the bow.
;)
I'm laying money on the USS Missouri (BB-11) before the cage masts were fitted.

Yeah, try the rub out method. It didn't work on my Tibook, 1 green at mid center of screen.
I have found a use for the pixel. It's a great place to park your cursor when not in use...also great to index item locations in a drawing...
Sorry

Your experience doesn't amount to a hill of beans for proof. You did not have the same phone on Verizon to compare that it worked fine on Verizon so you can't say the phone would work fine on Verizon using your experience. And then you went on the iphone when you went on AT&T but it was the only phone you've used on AT&T so you don't know if that experience is consistant with different phones... so where is the proof that it was AT&T and not the iphone? You don't know because you had both a different phone and provider when you switched to AT&T so the problem could be with either.
Get back to us when you have the iphone on Verizon or at least have had another phone on AT&T (to see if you have the same problem with a different phone on AT&T).
Absolutely it does. You simply do not like my report. Tough beans.
I've observed poor reception on non-verizon carriers in two states in rural areas and in my office in an urban environment. I've stood in locations with other people and compared the ability to make a call. You cannot beat Verizon in rural areas and in some urban areas.
Too bad. That is the way it is.

So I take it you mean something like in the bottom diagram:
Not too keen on the whole soldering part, do you think there
would be 22-pin male to female extension cables where the female part is split up/separate i.e: 1x Power (Molex if available), 1x SATA DATA cable, in this event I would just connect one 2xSATA power to molex cable on it and no need for soldering. Something like in this link here (http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/246707108/sata_cable.html), but the power having only two wires looks odd?
As per the diagram, it's correct (hard to follow the wire colors as the bend around, but it looks right in terms of location as well as color). :)
What you're asking about (backplane cable that splits into two separate connectors with 4 wires for power) do exist (here (http://www.pc-pitstop.com/sas_cables_adapters/I2917-05M.asp)). It's not as clean IMO, but functional, and at least from this link, is more expensive (would have expected it to be cheaper, as they're used more often in PC's). If you look, I suspect you'll be able to locate it cheaper (just make sure you've more than 2 wires on the power connector - only get it if it has 4 power wires).
As per soldering, it's not hard, particularly soldering 2 wires together (buying a stick soldering iron, heat shrink tubing and solder won't be that expensive; should be able to manage it for under $20USD <example (http://www.amazon.com/Weller-SP23LK-Marksman-Watt-Soldering/dp/B0009ZD2AG)>, and it's handy for other projects). You can get a pack of heatshrink tubing from Walmart for under $5USD, and stay around the $20USD mark (as I assume you don't have any of the equipment or supplies to do it based on your aversion to soldering).

My friends and I have set up a non-for-profit society at university. My role in the society is the website. Where can I find free CGI hosting? We don't accept money from members and so can't afford to pay any money. At the moment we are on geocities (yuk!). I just want to set up some perl scripts. I would also need to ability to add modules (i.e. date/time modules) too probably.
Does anyone offer free CGI hosting?

"I think you could also dulicate the track in iTunes and set the "start time" and "stop time"......"
Yeah, so when you set your in and out, right click on the song file, and select "convert selection to MP3" this will make a copy of the song into your library, and it will be the length you created. this is how I make mp3s for ringtones, since I can't fit a whole song on my phone. PEACE OUT
